I was in a great group today that met with a real estate agent from San Francisco. Outside of the joy of the subject matter being my home town/old stomps, I enjoyed these tidbits/observations:
- SF Google bus = MSFT connector
- We are both water-oriented cities
- Protected views of The Bay from The City are worth approximately $200K (in one example)
- $600K is entry-level-financeable for an SF address (some parts of Seattle are ½ that)
- Rents have increased 20% in the past year
- Single family homes have increased 25% in the past year; condos 23%
- Month-over-Month Single-family home increase, Feb-March…9%
